About me
Hi, I’m Rosey, founder of Painting Passions.
I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember. After studying Art & Design at Cambridge Regional College and Fine Art at Norwich Art School, I spent many years working within the creative industry — first as an artist, making and selling my work, then as a picture framer and later managing a busy craft centre.
It was there that I discovered something I loved just as much as creating art myself — helping other people discover that they can be creative too.
I started Painting Passions in 2017, and what began alongside my day job has grown into a full-time business offering creative classes and experiences across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Today, I run a wide variety of relaxed, friendly workshops for adults, children, private groups and businesses. From canvas painting and Paint Your Pet to glass painting, silver clay jewellery and seasonal creative workshops, there’s always something new to try.
You don’t need to be “good at art” to come along. My classes are designed to be enjoyable and achievable for complete beginners. I guide you through the project step-by-step, while giving you the freedom to make your finished piece your own.
For me, the best part is seeing someone arrive saying “I’m not creative” and leave a couple of hours later proudly carrying something they’ve made themselves.
Whether you’re looking for a fun night out, want to learn something new, are planning a get-together with friends or would like a creative experience for your workplace, Painting Passions is all about switching off, having fun and enjoying the process of creating.

Booze & Brushes
Come and join me for a fun creative night at one of my scheduled events while enjoying a drink or two with friends. I will provide all the supplies (not alcohol) for your two hour paint class and talk you through each stage step by step. You don't have to be remotely creative to complete a masterpiece in this class. I have proof!

Booze & Brushes...on a Wood Pallet
This fun painting class includes all of the popular elements from my Booze & Brushes class, but instead of a canvas, we use a handmade wood pallet as our medium. These fantastic pieces have a rustic looking charm and will sit proudly in your home when you take them away.

Booze & Brushes - Doormat
In this class you will create a usable doormat for your home. You will be guided step by step using acrylic paint and a stencil on a 40x60cm doormat. After the class you will take a kit home containing polyurethane varnish to seal and finish off your mat.

Booze & Brushes on Slate
In this class you will create a masterpiece on either a square, round or hexagon shaped piece of slate. As in all of these classes you are guided step by step so no need to have any experience. Potentially any painting can be transferred onto slate.

Booze & Brushes Clock
In this class you will create a masterpiece on a 40x40cm working clock. As in all of these classes you are guided step by step so no need to have any experience. Potentially any painting can be transferred onto a clock.

Paint Your Pet
In this class you will create a masterpiece of your beloved pet. Whether it's a cat, dog or bird, with guidance you will be able to produce a painting with good likeness of your pet. Customise your piece further with a colour background of your choice. This class is for beginners but it is an advantage if you have taken a class with me before.

Booze & Brushes CHRISTMAS! On wood with actual lights!
Every Christmas I run special sessions to make these amazing festive pieces. They are painted on to either a handmade wood pallet or shaped piece of MDF depending on the design, but all are created using hand painting, stencils, glitter and battery powered LED fairy lights to give it that finishing touch. Every year there is a new design to add to your collection. It's a fun festive session to come along with your friends to, guaranteed to be super festive. Price also includes Christmassy head boppers to take home.

Kids & Canvas
Kids and Canvas.....
Bring your kids to one of my scheduled events where they will be guided step by step to create their very own masterpiece to be proud of! Acrylic paint is used (doesn't wash out of clothing) on a 12x16 canvas.

Stained Glass Painting
In this class you will create a stained glass effect on a 8x10 glass frame, vase, mirror, coasters, jug or drinks dispenser, using gold liner and glass paints. You will be guided step by step in this class so no need for any experience.

ECO Resin Pouring
In this class you will learn the basics of Eco- Resin and create a clock, cake stand, coasters or a tray. Choose from different colour pigments and even add a touch of glitter or gold leaf to finish off your piece. As the material drys enough in an hour to de-mould, you will take your creation home with you on the day.
Eco Resin is a water based compound and is completely non toxic and safe to use.

Glass Painting
Paint your own useable glass!
Choosing from a 550ml Enoteca wine glass, stemless wine glass (same type) or 645ml Misket Gin & Tonic Glass.
Using special paint create your design from various ideas provided or do your own thing. Once finished bake in your oven at home to be fully cured and top rack dishwasher safe.

Silver Clay Jewellery Taster
Learn how to make your own silver pendant or earrings in this fun class!
Silver clay is 99.9% pure silver. The silver particles are mixed with a clay binder which makes it easy to mould, shape and create texture on your desired design. Once dry your piece is ready to fire the clay binder is torched leaving your pure silver piece.
In the class you will learn 5 processes:
Making - Creating your design from 5g of Silver clay using different shaped cutters and a large range of textures (or bring your own)
Drying - Learn how to successfully dry your piece
Sanding – Finish your piece using various grades of sand paper
Fire – Fire your piece using a gas torch
Polish – Polish your piece ready to wear and take home on the day
Class includes: 5g of Silver clay, earring fittings or stainless steel chain.

Virtual Painting Parties
Host a private paint party with your friends while you social distance at home. Using a live Zoom meeting you will all be guided through the painting of your choice step by step. As well as seeing me you will be able to interact with your friend's via video and sound in the meeting. Cost is £35 per person minimum 10 people. Kids class £200, 10 kids included. Kits will be delivered before the class.
